Creamy White Chicken Chili

Ingredients:

  • 1 lbs chicken breast, boneless & cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1/2 med. onion, diced
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 oz. vegetable oil
  • 2 - 15 oz. cans northern beans
  • 1 - 14 oz. can chicken broth
  • 1 - 4 oz. can green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp white or black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 - 8 oz. ctn. sour cream
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream

Preparation:

In a large saucepan, sauté chicken, onion and garlic powder until chicken is no longer pink. Add beans (drained) along with chicken broth, chilies and seasonings. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Stir in sour cream and whipped cream. Heat until sour cream is dissolved and at serving temperature. Serve immediately.
