Overnight Crock Pot Apple Butter
Ingredients:
- 8 cup (approx. 3 lbs.) sliced cooking apples
- 4 cup white sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cloves
Preparation:
In the early evening, place sliced apples in crock pot. Mix sugar with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Stir sugar mixture through apples. Cook on high until apples bubble, about 1 hour.
Turn to low and continue cooking all night. Stir vigorously with a whisk the next morning. Can be stored in refrigerator 3-4 weeks or can be frozen for longer storage.
