Aunt Maud's Beet Relish
Ingredients:
- 1 quart cooked beets (chopped fine or ground)
- 1 quart cabbage
- 1 cup horseradish
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper or 1 tsp additional black pepper
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbs salt
- 1/2 cup vinegar or enough
Preparation:
Bring beets,cabbage, horseradish, and spices to hard boil. Seal in jars.
