Cabbage Relish

Ingredients:

  • 3 large heads cabbage
  • 8 cup chopped onions
  • 8 cup sugar
  • 8 cup vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp salt
  • 6 Tbsp mustard
  • 3 Tbsp tumeric
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Preparation:

In large cooking pot, combine cabbage, onion, sugar, vinegar, salt, mustard and tumeric. Cook 1 1/2 hours until tender. Add flour to enough water to make a paste.

Add paste to cabbage mixture. Stir well and cook 10 minutes more. Put in hot jars and seal.
