Almond Rice Pilaf
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 2 cup chicken broth
- 2 cup uncooked instant rice
Preparation:
In a saucepan, sauté onion and almonds in butter until the onions are tender and the almonds lightly brown. Add broth and bring to a boil. Stir in rice and cover.
Remove from heat and let stand 5 - 8 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
